PROJECT 2: STORYBOARD AND PITCH BIBLE

Before we move on to our second project, we need to present our stories to audiences and know what they think of the story that we have made.

Story, Storyboard, and Pitch Bible

Feedback (audiences): After I have explained my story to audiences, they said that they understands the storyline and they think it is a really interesting story. The audiences knows what happens to the little girl and the graphic must be really good so the audience could understand the ending.

They suggested to add sounds when the doll is coming to the girl's house like some girlish sounds and clinking of the ceramic as the doll was broken to pieces, instead of just the help of the camera. The mind when watching horror can already process the camera movement, so need to add more elements that could support the spookiness.

Also, the ending part where the little girl is screaming inside the doll showing that she was trapped and add tears as well. The audiences were a bit confused of the story, but they understand the big outline.

Feedback (Mr. Mike): Part ways, the parents wearing black clothes and went to the shrine. they were somewhat mourning, but they were just preparing themselves to give their daughter away and to have an acceptance. It will be a dark and sad ending where the parents accepted their girl trapped in a doll and the curse does not just affects the girl, but it also affects the family.

After the story was approved, I just needed to make the character, pitch bible and storyboards.

REFLECTIONS

EXPERIENCES

It was very very hard to make the storyboard. I still have difficulties in studying the camera angles, from which direction the shot will have more impact to the stories and characters. Making character design is also not easy, we need to know the characteristic, the background of the character and we need to make the same people many times in order to make an animation.

OBSERVATIONS

I saw that all my other friends were also having difficulties with storyboard, but we're very lucky that Mr. Mike kept helping us VERY patiently. I'm not sure if I'm the one who taught this module and all my students behave like us. Mr. Mike kept giving us suggestions whenever we were stuck working on our storyboards and gave us useful notes.

FINDINGS

I found out how to make a proper story, appropriate angles for the cameras, and learn more about film and animation. I guess it all thanks to Mr. Mike who never gave up on us and always support us whenever we need help. I really hope I can be taught by Mr. Mike again (although Mr. Mike might not want to teach me again since I procrastinate a lot and a very perfectionist person haha).
