Lecture 3 : Shape Builder and Gradient

14.09.18 (Week 3)

First time I got into class was when the others already learning about shape builder and gradient. Luckily, it was still pretty easy so I could keep up. The lecturers also told me that I need to make character design: vormator and they will taught me how to make the vormator from all the lectures.

This lecture was all about making basic shapes and using the shape builder tool to make another different shape by just clicking on some parts. After done with the shape builder, we moved on to gradient and fill the shapes with colours.

Lecture 4 : Drawing techniques in Illustrator

21.09.18 (Week 4)

For this week lecture, Mr. Kannan shows us how to draw using brush tool and how to make our own brush. We made doodles and stuffs and this week lecture was fun. But I'm still confused how to set my own brush sometimes.

I mostly pay attention to Mr. Kannan's lecture than doing it on my own this week.

Lecture 5 : Chiaroscuro

28.09.18 (Week 5)

This week, we were learning about how to make "Chiaroscuro" and we begin by making it from a pear.

Chiaroscuro Pear

So, it was like something called "tracing". We follow the structure of the real picture, make it on our own, colour it or do anything with it after that. For "Chiaroscuro", we after we make the structure of the pear, we cut them with knife tool and make them like the picture above. We're free to colour or add anything to it.

And this is my "Person Chiaroscuro" to hand in for "Chiaroscuro" assignment.

Lecture 6 : Transitions

01.10.18 (Week 6)

This week, we were learning how to make transitions.

Transitions

After learning or try to understand how transitions are, we need to decide 5 transitions for our transitions assignment from the picture provided in the Google Classroom.

Transition Panel and My Transitions

This is the transition that I need to know about for me to decide the 5 transitions I wanted to make.

Lecture 7 : Circle Shading

19.10.18 (Week 7)

This week we learn how to make shadow and lightning of an object and input texture on them to make it more lively. It was quite hard because I still wasn't used to do the work in wacom tablet since it's been quite a long time since I last used it. But by putting the wood texture on the circle, this is my result of the exercise.

Lecture 8 : Perspective and Wacom Tablet Exercise

26.10.18 (Week 8)

For this exercise, we were taught to do some perspective in Illustrator, but it was very hard for me because I'm not good in perspective and the perspective grid looked really confusing. I mostly just pay attention to Mr. Kannan lecture than doing it on my own for this week.
